Performance so good it brought me to tears!
I have been very blessed to have attended various musicals in my lifetime all of which I have thoroughly enjoyed but none have ever brought me to tears before! I treated my best friend to the spectacular performance of Wicked in Kansas City as a birthday gift this week and I thought it was just me that was getting emotional but when I looked over at her, she was in tears too! And not just once but twice during the performance!!
I was so enthralled by the performance that I did not even notice that the huge winged beast that was hanging above the stage was occasionally moving and throwing out puffs of smoke...my friend told me about this AFTER the performance was over!!
I would definitely rate this event as the BEST EVER performance that I have ever been too! Outstanding performance!! If I could give it more than 5 stars I most definitely would and my best friend agrees!! :)
Wicked bad seats
This is the second time we’ve seen Wicked. As usual, Glinda stole the show. The scenery was spectacular. The first half seemed to drag but the second half was much better. There was only one memorable song out of many but the orchestra did a fabulous job. I had forgotten how difficult it is to see in this theater. No matter where we sit, you can’t see around the person in front of you. Kids have a much harder time seeing. I had a neck ache by the time we left. This has always been a problem in this theater. Perhaps it was because we’re under the Loge this time, it was also much harder to hear. These two things made for a much less desirable experience.
